“Both physicians certified under oath that his memory, judgment, and cognitive capacity were completely sound.”

Julian stared down at the doctors’ signatures on the top page, his fingers twitching against his trousers.

“He took capacity tests behind my back?” Julian asked.

“He took them specifically so you could not claim he suffered from memory loss when his bank records were reviewed,” Samuel said.

Uncle Raymond looked straight at Julian, his gravelly voice dropping even lower.
