Dominic reached for the ring. Leo lifted it out of his reach. “Chloe Bennett, will you choose me again tomorrow?”
She smiled. “Yes.”
“Only tomorrow?”
“You can ask again the next day.”
Leo slipped the ring onto her finger. Behind them, their son laughed.
Bradley had thought Chloe had let herself go. He had been wrong. She had stopped holding herself inside the shape other people demanded. She had become a mother, a partner, and the one person powerful enough to teach New York’s most feared man that family was not something he could possess.
