“He told me I should look for a cheaper three-bedroom rental near the highway, but he said he hadn’t found anything in my price range yet.”

“He told you that yesterday?” I asked.

“He told me that this morning on the phone,” Heather said.

“He said he was handling all the wedding vendor cancellations himself so you wouldn’t have to deal with the stress.”
