His hands shook so badly he set the phone down with both hands.

“What did he say?” I asked.

“He said you’ve been turning Tessa against him for months.

He said your pictures don’t prove anything and that you’ll destroy our finances if we keep making accusations.”

“What finances?”

“He wouldn’t say.
