They had the organizational capacity to maintain themselves in a challenging landscape.

They had relationships with each other, knowledge of the landscape they inhabited, and — almost certainly — the full range of social, spiritual, and cultural life that we associate with human communities everywhere.

The specific content of that cultural life — the languages they spoke, the stories they told, the ceremonies they conducted, the relationships that structured their communities — is not preserved in the Paisley Caves archive.
