The Second Cave And The Gap Between The Two Specimens

Leang Cappalombo 1 — the site of the younger specimen, CPL-R2a — is about 33 kilometers east of Leang Bulu Bettue.

This is not a trivial distance in the karst landscape of South Sulawesi, which is complex terrain of tower karst, sinkholes, valleys, and caves.
