Here is what I did with that receipt.

I folded it in three and put it in the tobacco tin on the shelf above my desk where I keep the things I am not going to throw away, and it stayed in that tin from the fourteenth of June 2016 until the second of October 2024.

Eight years and three and a half months.

I looked at it perhaps thirty times.

I took it out, unfolded it, read the line, folded it, put it back.
