The Closing Statement
That is not an investment.
It sits in a savings account and it loses value slowly and every financial professional who has looked at my situation has raised an eyebrow at it.
It is eighteen months of my entire life.
Rent-equivalent, food, insurance, the car, the children, everything, for eighteen months, available on a Tuesday afternoon, in cash, without asking anybody.
I will never touch it and I will never invest it and if somebody explains compound interest to me one more time I am going to become unpleasant.
Because I have done the other thing.
