And between the twenty-second of September and the fourth of October, Julian Vance did four things.

He moved eighty-one thousand dollars out of a joint brokerage account into an account in his mother’s name.

He changed the beneficiary on a life policy.

He let the children’s dental coverage lapse, which I found out about in a waiting room in January.

And he took out a loan against a vehicle.

Every one of those is a violation of an order he had in his hand.

Not a clever violation.
