The First Honest Thing
When Julian finally walked into the emergency board meeting, sweating through his tailored suit, his father looked at him with something worse than anger: disappointment.
“Camila will be terminated immediately,” Julian said. “This was a private mistake.”
The company’s chief legal officer slid a folder across the table. “Too late,” he said. “At 8:12 this morning, Olivia Sterling’s attorneys filed a federal financial complaint.”
Julian’s stomach dropped. “What complaint?”
