There are probably two in your kitchen drawer right now.
It was bent slightly from being walked on for two and a half miles.
“I hid it in there,” Charlotte said, holding it out to me on her flat palm.
And I said the least intelligent thing I said all afternoon, which was, “Why did you hide it in your shoe?”
She looked at me like I was slow.
