Four incident report forms were completed about my son between the autumn of 2012 and his graduation in May 2014.

I did not know that any of them existed.

Nobody ever told me.

Under the law as it then was, nobody had to.

On all four, box 7b is blank.

Not NO.

Blank.

Which I have come to think is much more honest than NO would have been, and much worse, because NO is a decision and blank is a man at the end of a period with four hundred students and a stack, doing the part of the form that has a person in front of him and not doing the part that has a filing cabinet at the other end of it.
