The Hidden Compartment
I used to think the people most furious about your locked doors are the ones who quietly thrived when you had none.
That’s true. It’s also the comfortable half.
Because for five years I had a key, and I used it, and I was not furious about anything. I was grateful to be inside. I was so grateful to finally be inside that at 02:14 on a Tuesday in November I built the exact query that would have shown me everything, and at 02:25 I cancelled it and went to bed.
Nobody locked me in. I want that written down in my own words, in my own account, where I can’t revoke it.
I had the credentials the entire time.
End of Part Two.
