The House I Built With Love
We build entire systems, legal and financial, on the premise that a notarized signature means a person was present and consented.
To see that premise weaponized against you, to see the machinery of official truth turned into a machine for producing a specific, damning falsehood, is disorienting in a way that is hard to describe to anyone who has not felt it.
For a moment, standing there, even I, who dismantle exactly this for a living, felt the pull of it, the whisper that says maybe you are wrong, maybe there is something you have forgotten.
That whisper is the whole point.
