Part Twenty-Four: Void

Here is the law, and it is short, and it is the part everybody gets wrong.

A marriage entered into by a person who is already married is void.

Not voidable — void.

It has no legal effect from the beginning.

It does not need to be dissolved, because there is nothing there to dissolve.
