“Shut your mouth, Mr. Holloway, before I have you detained as a threat to a senior officer,” Keene barked, his voice rattling the windows. He turned his gaze to Paige.
“Major Donnelly. I see you’ve made yourself comfortable in civilian attire during active-duty hours.”
Paige swallowed, her posture crumbling. “General, I’m acting under legal civilian authority as Mr. Holloway’s representative—”
“You’re acting under the delusion that Army Cyber Command is blind,” Keene interrupted. He looked at me and gave a sharp nod. “Colonel Langley, I’m pleased to inform you that your promotion to head Strategic Operations Command is secure.
I’m less pleased to inform you that your executive officer has committed treason.”
Grant stepped back, his face draining. “Treason?”
