Among all the things that the Kwäday Dän Ts’ìnchi project has produced — the scientific papers, the DNA sequences, the isotope data, the analysis of clothing and tools — the most enduring may be the name.

The name was given by the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations in their language — Southern Tutchone — and it has been used in all official and most public discussions of the individual since the beginning of the project.

It has appeared in scientific papers, in government reports, in news coverage, and in community materials.
