“Carrasco.” He said it slowly, as though he were checking it against something.
“Where were you before this?”
And I said the sentence I had been given, which was, “I came in through a private process, Mr.
Bramhall.
I’d rather not get into it.”
He looked at me for a second and then he laughed — not cruelly, actually with something like delight — and he said, “You were in this building.
