The Man on Her Left
I am not accusing her of anything.
I have thought about this for years and I have concluded that Delphine Sawicki is a person of genuine integrity who found herself in a position where integrity required her to blow up a company she had given fourteen years to, on behalf of a woman she liked and admired, over a condition that was not affecting the woman’s work at all.
She did what an enormous number of decent people do in that position, which is to build a wall around the specific fact, and stay scrupulously honest about everything outside the wall, and never look over it.
Her memorandum of that January is in the record now.
