And the answer, if it ever comes, will come not from outside research but from within the community.
It will come when the Oglala Lakota community decides — if it ever decides — that the disclosure of the location would serve the interests of the community and the dignity of the dead better than continued protection of the mystery.
That decision belongs entirely to them.
