Chloe’s face went cold. “Lewis, did you marry me for my penthouse?”
He paused. “Don’t be childish. I married you because we work. Your assets, my career, our families — it made sense.”
“It made sense?”
“You think marriage is just feelings? Grow up. My mother was securing what should belong to our household.”
“My penthouse belonged to me.”
“Not after you became my wife,” Lewis said coldly.
