“I was unjust to you for eleven years.”

I did not say anything, which I have learned is the correct response when somebody is finally saying a true thing.

“I asked you the same question at every family occasion for six years.

I asked it in front of people.

And when you stopped being able to answer it the way I wanted, I stopped asking, and I want you to understand that I knew exactly what I was doing when I stopped.”
