Robert Hunter looked around the table. “Does anyone else have documentation contradicting what’s been presented?” he asked.

Silence filled the room. “Harold?” he asked. My father’s jaw worked. No words came out.

“Josephine?” he asked. My sister stared at the table. Her perfect composure had cracked entirely.

Richard Hunter spoke for the first time. “Robert, I think we need to recess and have legal counsel review these documents,” he said.

“Agreed,” Hunter said, checking his watch. “We’ll reconvene in fifteen minutes. Jonathan, please remain available,” he said.
