Then she went and got a yellow marker out of the drawer and — before I could say a single word — drew a sun in the top right corner of a six-week watercolor.
It is enormous.
It has eleven rays.
It is in a completely different medium and it wrecks the value structure of the entire upper third of the piece.
I have been offered money for that painting twice and I have said no both times.
