“There’s more,” Deborah said, “and I’d like you to be sitting down for it, and I see that you are.”
The medical exam.
Every one of those three policies required a paramedical exam — blood, urine, height, weight, a health questionnaire, signed.
I had done one, in 2021, for the first policy, in my own kitchen, with a nurse who came to the house.
I had never done another.
“So who—” I said, and then I stopped, because I had already worked it out.
“A woman attended both later exams using your name and date of birth,” Deborah said.
