These ships appear different from the Egyptian galleys shown in the same reliefs, which have oars and different structural characteristics.

The fact that the Sea Peoples were able to bring enough people to establish permanent settlements — as the Philistines did along the Levantine coast — implies the transportation of thousands of people, not hundreds.

Moving this many people requires either many voyages over an extended period or very large vessels.

The logistics of the Sea Peoples migration, while never precisely documented in the sources, must have been substantial.
