He spent years in Canada after the war, eventually returning to the United States and dying in 1836.

The various nations that had been part of the confederacy — the Potawatomi, the Kickapoo, the Winnebago, the Ottawa, and others — now faced the consequences of the British defeat without the political organization that Tecumseh had built.
