It was sixty-one pages and I read it in a stairwell.
I did not understand most of it.
I understood about a fifth of it.
But you do not need a medical education to read a timestamp, and a hospital record is nothing but timestamps, and by page nine I had found the two documents that eventually took a family apart.
The first was the transfer summary from the hospital in Jasper, and the history of present illness in it reads: 9 y/o F, fall from hay trailer, approx 2 hours PTA.
