The Voice She Thought She’d Lost
I have gone back and forth about how much to say here, and I have landed on saying less rather than more, deliberately.
There are people who would want the technique described, the exact mechanics of how a smaller person controls a larger one, and I understand the curiosity, but I am not willing to write that down.
It is not knowledge that does any good loose in the world, and the point of this story is not that I can put a man on the ground.
A great many people can be taught to put a man on the ground; that is the least interesting thing about that afternoon.
