Not because I am carrying anything.
I am not angry with Walter Strand and have not been since about the following autumn.
It is that forgiveness is a transaction and it requires two people.
It requires somebody to hear it.
It requires the possibility that they might say something back that you did not expect, or that they might not accept it, or that they might tell you it is not yours to give.
He is in the ground in Bloomington and he has been for three years and there is nobody to forgive.
