Two of the incidents cited in Crestwood’s claim had been documented only inside Marlowe systems. Crestwood could not have found them by watching Adrian.

Someone inside the Accord had handed them over. The access record belonged to Margaret Oakes — Conrad Marlowe’s former personal assistant.

Lena sat down slowly. Margaret had helped raise her after her mother died. She had held Conrad’s hand in the hospital, comforted Lena at the funeral, steadied the transition after his death.

“She betrayed my father,” Lena whispered.

“She copied the records before you closed the Accord,” Sarah said. “We think she gave them to a Crestwood intermediary named Diana Vale.”

Adrian went still. “What?”
