Silence in the face of evil does not always look like violence.
Sometimes it looks like a mother laying out the dinner plates, or a husband easing a bedroom door shut, or a father assuring everyone that it is all being done for the good of the family.
But when a person knows the truth and chooses to protect the guilty rather than the harmed, they have already made their choice.
And choices, always, carry their consequences.
