Vincent looked at her and thought that the adults in his boardroom could learn something from that sentence.

“Are you going to stop the bad stuff?” she asked.

“I’m going to work with people who can find out what happened and make changes.

Some of those people will tell me things I don’t want to hear.”

“Like my teacher when I forget homework.”

“A little like that.”

She smiled.
