“Get out of my house,” David said.
He did not shout it.
He said it quietly, which was worse.
“David, please, let me explain—”
“I said get out!” And now he did roar it, the force of his voice rattling the glass light fixture above the table.
“Before I call Mark, and hand him this memory card, and file a police report for grand theft.”
Gwen did not wait another second.
