“Can we prove the forgery?” I asked.

“Easily. We have handwriting experts on retainer, and the IP addresses used to file the electronic documents trace back to Daniel’s private office server,” Meyers said, a dangerous little smile touching his lips.

“The fraud case is airtight on its own. But that’s the legal battle. You mentioned you also wanted to address the… personal affront.”

I smiled back, though there was no joy in it. “Daniel and Vanessa are hosting a housewarming party this Saturday. He’s invited his potential investors, the country-club set, everyone he’s spent years desperate to impress. He wants to debut his new life. I think it’s only fair I attend.”

“As the owner of the property, you have every right to enter,” Meyers noted, adjusting his glasses.

“I have the eviction notices prepared — immediate vacate orders, signed by a judge this morning, citing unauthorized occupation and property damage.”
