The former Olympian is heartbroken over the death of Caitlyn Jenner’s mother, Esther Jenner.
Esther Jenner, Caitlyn Jenner’s adored mother, died just weeks before her 97th birthday, leaving her inconsolable.
In an emotional Instagram post, the former Olympian, who was married to Kris Jenner from 1991 to 2015, confirmed her mother’s death.
Jenner, 73, who posted photos of Esther looking beautiful on what would have been her 95th birthday, wrote: “I am devastated to say that my mom passed away quietly yesterday morning.

“Losing my mother is special because she was the only person who ever really loved me. I will miss her very much.”
“She lived a full life and was 97 in a few weeks. I will always love you, mom,” the caption read.

Caitlyn, who was Bruce Jenner, was born Esther in 1949. Caitlyn said in June 2015 that she was transitioning and would undergo gender reassignment surgery in 2017. Caitlyn’s mother has always been supportive of her transition, reportedly saying, according to The Mirror, “It’s not something she asked for, it’s a condition and it starts in the womb.”
She was reportedly not a fan of Kris Jenner, accusing her of “hyper-control” and “inappropriate choice of husband.” Esther also criticized the reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians, which starred Caitlyn, Kris, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Rob Kardashian, as well as Caitlyn and Kris’ two daughters Kendall and Kylie.
The presentation was criticized by Esther, who called it “plotless” and said: “I didn’t like the program. There was no story so I will never understand why it was so popular. It is difficult for the mother. to classify your child as a celebrity when they become famous all over the world, to me it’s just my child.
Many online users left condolences for Caitlyn in the comments section of her Instagram post.
“So sad to hear of your loss. Godspeed to Mom. Kimberly Guilfoyle, a former San Francisco prosecutor, wrote: “Sending you love and prayers.
I just texted you, Caitlyn. But please know that we are deeply saddened by your loss, grateful that heaven exists, knowing that her blissful reunion with Bill and Burt is a beautiful reality, and praying that it will bring you comfort during this difficult time. I will try to visit Malibu as soon as possible. Victor Marx, a humanitarian and influential figure, continued: “We pray, my friend.
Another attendee said: “Sorry. I’m so happy you had the privilege of having your mother by your side for 97 years. Unbelievably lucky. Having said that, the loss of your mother is incredibly tragic.”
Losing a parent is one of the hardest things anyone can go through, and Caitlyn’s grief is understandable. But her post also serves as a reminder of the importance of cherishing the time we spend with our loved ones and making the most of every moment. Esther may be gone, but her memory will live on in Caitlyn’s heart forever.
