“Our Miles was hospitalized a few weeks ago with a bad case of shigella, an intestinal infection caused by bacteria in food or drink. Since they were in the same camp, many of his friends were poisoned anyway.” it’s happening!” Teigen wrote in her post.
That’s when the doctors noticed something strange in his blood results.
However, the doctors were aware that his blood tests showed another irregularity. I have since learned that this is why so many young children are diagnosed with type 1 when they visit the hospital for another reason. His “honeymoon period” in T1’s lifespan was discovered after additional testing. We gave him his first shot of insulin last night and he’s fine! We are experiencing a new and different world and undoubtedly learning a lot in the process.”
She ended her message by thanking everyone for their kind thoughts.
“This post is to thank you for your kindness,” she replied. “It helps Miles so much to know that so many other people are going through the same thing and he’s not alone.
Miles was born in 2018 to Teigen and Legend.
