“We should be getting ready for our trip to Italy next week. Instead, she commented, “I’m looking at these photos from our first family vacation when the baby was 4 months old, which was almost exactly a year ago.
The grieving mother said they had planned to travel to Tuscany, a region they had never been to before, after seeing her and her husband’s wedding venue.
Baby Asher’s birth coincided with the ninth anniversary of his parents’ very first meeting. When Christine announced the birth of her son and named him Asher, she said Asher means “happy and blessed.”

“I wanted fresh memories with you. I miss these memories. I miss you. I wish you were here with us all the time. The agony is so severe it will never go away! I had no idea such suffering even existed!” Until it wasn’t, our lives were ideal and typical,” Christine wrote in her extensive article on August 16.
Then she confessed that she just couldn’t believe that it had been a month since she last held her little son, who was the center of her universe, and that it had been a while since she smelled, kissed, listened, and watched his tiny steps.
She would cherish these memories forever but is heartbroken that she will never be able to make new memories with her precious Asher.
“I desperately want everything back! I will always be changed and forever broken. Being with you for 14 months was not enough. We had so many plans for the future and I thought forever,” she continued, admitting how “it’s so hard, so incredibly hard.” I sincerely hope we can muster the strength to take you with us.

Christine hadn’t celebrated Father’s Day in 15 years until the family did a few months before Asher’s loss.
“I haven’t celebrated Father’s Day since I lost my dad at 22 and it’s not the easiest day, but since having Asher and watching Ryan become a father, it’s been the happiest I’ve ever been, ” she said. I really adore watching [his] face light up when he finds out you’ve come home. Thank you for being Asher’s best father, she said in her letter.
The grieving mother claimed that a part of her also died when Asher died.
Our house is so quiet and empty without you, but I still feel like you’ll show up. “A piece of me left with you. I don’t know how to go on without you; I’m in so much pain. I have no words to express how much I adore you. Everywhere I go, I can’t.” But help me see your huge smile. I also hear your laughter and babble all the time and it hurts my heart that you’re not here.

In her pain and grief, Christine found the courage to share her grief with the world. Her post served as a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the enduring love parents have for their children even in their absence.
