American country music performer and songwriter Tim McGraw has been married to fellow singer Faith Hill for about 20 years.
Although both were in a relationship at the time, the couple first linked up in 1994 when they appeared together at a Country Radio Seminar showcase. Hill and McGraw began dating after Hill served as McGraw’s opening act on his tour, ending their previous engagement. They got engaged in 1996, married the same year, and had three children as a couple.
Despite their mutual love, their marriage was not always easy. Tim struggled with alcoholism and their family was in danger of falling apart. McGraw’s family was in danger of falling apart because of his drunkenness. Given a choice between his family and his destructive activities, Hill gave him an ultimatum.
