David McCallum, the famous ‘NCIS’ actor, recently celebrated his 55th wedding anniversary with his wife, Katherine Carpenter.
When David McCallum divorced his first wife, Jill Ireland, the same year Carpenter and McCallum met. Charles Bronson, the actor, fought with McCallum for the role of Ireland. After their first meeting, McCallum and Carpenter took an instant liking to each other and started dating. After that, the couple got married.
Although McCallum often shared pictures of his wife on social media, his followers in particular were appreciated.
The photo on the left shows a black-and-white image of two young people driving. On the right is a photo of McCallum and his companion grinning at the camera. This picture was unique because on its left side was a picture taken the day McCallum and Carpenter first met. They are not looking at the camera in the picture of them rushing. Just five decades later, the same couple can be seen on the right side of the picture.
In 1965, the two got together for a photo shoot. McCallum was 11 years older than Carpenter at the time, who was 21. McCallum was still married to Ireland and had not divorced when the couple first started dating.
Carpenter has now raised McCallum’s wonderful family and supports him through his charitable endeavors. McCallum and Carpenter have two children together, Sophie and Peter, and have been deeply in love for many years.
The pair had been so devoted for many years that they danced together for hours in Montecito to celebrate the show’s creator’s 80th birthday.
Regardless of what the public thinks, the two have maintained their relationship and have always prioritized their relationship and family over their careers. Their wedding ceremony was a humiliating ceremony.
McCallum is normally tight-lipped about his family on social media but has posted several pictures of Carpenter and himself with her.
To mark the couple’s 50th wedding anniversary, McCallum posted one such picture. A band can be seen surrounding the couple and McCallum shared the photo with the caption, commenting that he thought it was a lovely way for the couple to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.
Although they enjoyed their exciting careers, as the couple got older, they cut back on their regular jobs and began to focus more on their family. Eight of McCallum’s grandchildren from his first marriage to Carpenter and his own children are his.
Referring to his grandchildren, McCallum admitted that he does not like the name “Grandpa”. He enjoys spending time with his wife of 55 years, his children, and all of his grandchildren, celebrating a life of adventure and success. Here’s to many more years of love and happiness for this incredible couple.
