Days after his wedding, country singer Jake Flint passes away at the age of 37.

“He was like a son to me,” expressed his former manager and close confidant. Jake Flint, a promising country musician hailing from Oklahoma, peacefully passed away in his slumber on November 26, mere hours after exchanging vows with his beloved partner, as confirmed by his publicist Clif Doyal to EW. At the age of 37, the world lost a talented artist.

The exact cause of his untimely demise remains undetermined. The Red Dirt singer-songwriter recently celebrated his matrimony with Brenda, in a heartfelt ceremony held at a rustic estate nestled between Claremore and Owasso, his hometown in Oklahoma, as reported by The Oklahoman. Mike Hosty, a solo performer who graced the wedding with his music, described Flint’s sudden death as an unfathomable tragedy.

“He embodied the spirit of a singer-songwriter, with an undeniable charisma,” Hosty shared with the publication. “He had a generous soul and would go above and beyond for others. When a fellow musician invites you to perform at their wedding, it signifies one of the most significant days of their life… and it’s always a profound honor.”

In 2019, he received the Breakout Artist of the Year award at the esteemed We Are Tulsa Music Awards.

Brenda Cline, Flint’s former manager, and close friend, shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook. The tribute included a photo of the two of them signing their artist management contract, symbolizing the beginning of their special bond. Cline expressed her deep affection for Flint, describing their relationship as one between a mother and son. She fondly recalled their remarkable friendship and partnership, highlighting Flint’s exceptional qualities as the funniest, most dedicated, and hardest-working artist she had ever collaborated with in her career.

“Jake’s vast circle of friendships is now faced with the challenge of coping with this heart-wrenching loss,” Cline further conveyed. “In these surreal circumstances, we earnestly seek prayers and support. Please, we implore you to pray for Brenda, his newlywed wife, Jake’s cherished mother, his sister, and all his loved ones. The journey ahead will be incredibly arduous for many. Jake, you are deeply loved, and you will forever reside in our hearts.”
