The search for the renowned chef Portland and the star of the chef Naomi Pomertoy got to the tragic end after her body was discovered in the river. The 49-year-old disappeared after a hose accident and the authorities confirmed that her body was obtained on July 17th.
According to the Benton County Sheriff Office, Pomeroy tragically drowned after he got involved in the hoses. Investigators revealed that Pomeroy, her husband Kyle Linden Webster, and a friend were connected on tubes and paddleboard when they came across an exposed hitch in the water.
Other details suggest that Pomeroy could not be free due to a paddleboard leash, which eventually pulled it under the surface of the water. While Webster and their friend were rescued by the staff of the Corvallis fire brigade near the coast, Pomeroy remained missing.
After extensive searches, her body was found in the Willamette River, between Corvallis and Albany, about half a mile upstream from Hyak Park. The Sheriff’s office later confirmed that the canoeists on the river had noticed its remains.
Pomeroy, chef, gained extensive recognition after opening the recognized portland restaurant Beast in 2007. She was a guest judge at Top Chef in the season 10, 15 and 18, and also appeared on Iron Chef and Top Chef Masters.
