When it comes to his private life, Donnie has experienced some pain. After knowing Kim Fey for five years, he married her. Unfortunately, the marriage did not last. Both parties cited their irreconcilable differences as the reason in their 2008 divorce filing.
Xavier and Elijah, their two children, were born. Donnie Wahlberg still has visitation privileges, but their mother is the one with primary custody. According to all reports, the couple gets along well and is adept at co-parenting their children.
Donnie was single for a long time until he met Jenny McCarthy, an actress and television personality. The couple was married for almost 8 years, but it took a lot of time and grief to find each other.
Jenny was previously married to filmmaker John Asher before marrying Donnie. While filming “Diamonds” in 1999, she got married the same year after meeting the director. Evan, their son, was born shortly after their union.

In the same year, 2005, she received a diagnosis of autism in her child. Although she was stunned by the news, she was not unhappy or changed in any way in her feelings towards her child.
Unfazed by his diagnosis, she continued to work and focus on her child by taking him to UCLA programs and specialists.
She acknowledges that her child’s diagnosis has affected her and her husband’s relationship. John was getting mad at me because he felt ignored, I said in the interview. I didn’t care if I never had s*x again – all I wanted to have were thoughts of Evan being able to say, “I love you, Mom.”

Asher would be the one to leave the family home, the couple agreed. While the actress lived there with her child, she was in charge of paying for his care and medical expenses herself.
Soon after, however, she met the legendary comedian Jim Carrey, with whom she fell in love. Carrey adored Jenny dearly and was devoted to his child. On Valentine’s Day, the actor famously hired a helicopter to fly messages of love to his lover.
The couple was adored and supported by the audience. Therefore, it was understandable that the announcement of the couple’s split in 2010 would disappoint followers. McCarthy let it be known that the connection had become unpleasant and ended as a result.
Donnie Wahlberg and Jennie McCarthy got along long before they even met. Both were first married in 1999 and had children with their ex-husbands.
Donnie first met Jenny in 2012 and immediately fell head over heels in love with her. The actor was introduced to him on The “Jenny McCarthy Show”, but it wasn’t until a year later that he decided to approach her and ask her out.

She continued, “Then Evan ran off and Evan came with a card that said ‘You’.”— I just started sobbing and Evan later came back with the word “Marry” misspelled.
Realizing it was a proposal, she shouted “YES” out loud at that moment. The trio shared a touching moment with each other after Evan joked, “I have another dad,” at this point.
In St. Charles, Illinois, in Chicago, a couple was hitched. Evan participated in all aspects of the wedding festivities, including walking his mother down the aisle. Donnie adopted Evan as his own as soon as they were married.

The couple has a strong and loving relationship. In addition to being the best wife I could ever dream of, she is also the best stepmom and mother, Donnie once remarked of her husband. She is a great co-worker and, simply put, Jenny is perhaps the one I appreciate the most for helping me create traditions with my children.
Every year the couple renewed their vows. They claim it helps them maintain their passion for their romance.
Donnie and Evan have an amazing relationship. Donnie gave his wife the best Christmas present of 2019. “One Christmas, early in the morning, Donnie gave me one of the best gifts ever, and that was paying Evan’s tuition,” the woman recalled.

The blended family is very close and loves each other very much. As a parent of two sons, the “Band of Brothers” actor had no trouble getting along with Evan. Meanwhile, Jenny gets along well with both of Donnie’s boys from his first marriage.
