Donnie has experienced a lot of sadness in his personal life. After dating Kim Fey for five years, he got married to her. Unfortunately, the marriage did not last. The couple split up in 2008, citing unresolved difficulties as the reason.

The couple’s two children go by the names of Xavier and Elijah. Donnie Wahlberg is allowed to visit, but their mother is in charge of custody. All accounts indicate that the couple gets along well and is skilled at co-parenting their children.
Before he met actress and television celebrity Jenny McCarthy, Donnie went years without getting married. Although they have been married for almost eight years, it took them some time and much suffering to find one another.
Before marrying Donnie, Jenny was previously engaged to the director John Asher. On the set of “Diamonds” in 1999, she met the director, and they got married the following year. Their son Evan was born not long after they got married.

In the same year, 2005, she received an autism diagnosis for her child. Although the diagnosis took her by surprise, it had no impact on how she felt about her child or caused her any distress.
She was unmoved by his illness and continued to work and focus on her child by bringing him to UCLA programs and physicians.
She acknowledges that her marriage to her spouse was impacted by her son’s illness. She claimed in an interview that John had started to lose his temper with her because he felt ignored. One of her few fantasies was for Evan to be able to tell his mother, “I love you.” She didn’t care if she never again engaged in sexual activity.
Asher should be the one to leave the family home, the two of them agreed. The actress and her child resided there, but she was solely responsible for his upkeep and medical bills.
But she fell in love with Jim Carrey, a legendary comedian, very quickly. Carrey adored Jenny and was highly involved with her son. The actor is infamous for renting a helicopter on Valentine’s Day to display a love message for his partner.
The duo had to admire and devote followers. Fans were understandably upset when the couple announced their separation in 2010. McCarthy made it known that the relationship terminated because it was no longer fun.

When Donnie first met Jenny in 2012, he fell in love with her right away. It wasn’t until a year later, on the “Jenny McCarthy Show,” though, that he decided to initiate the conversation and ask her out.
The actor proposed to his fiancée for marriage after a few years of dating. He showed how close the pair is by including Evan, Jenny’s autistic son, in the proposal.
She recalled the proposal in an interview, saying that she was sitting with Donnie when he left the room and that Evan returned with a card that said “Will,” which he then gave her.
After she finished speaking, Evan dashed outside before returning with a card that simply, “You.” Evan ran back into the room with the word “Marry” misspelled as soon as she simply began sobbing.
At that point, she knew it was a proposal and responded “YES!” The trio shared a tender moment as Evan added, “I have another dad,” at this point.

In Illinois’s St. Charles, the couple was hitched. Even when he walked his mother down the aisle, Evan was present for every part of the ceremony. When they got married, Donnie immediately became Evan’s stepfather.
The relationship between the two is cordial and loving. In addition to being the best wife anyone could have ever wished for, Donnie once said of his wife, “She’s also the best stepmom and mom.” She’s a great wife, and to put it simply, having Jenny as his partner in creating traditions with his children is perhaps what he is most appreciative of.
The couple reiterates their commitments each year. They contend that doing this aids in keeping their romance alive.
Donnie and Evan have a great relationship. The nicest Christmas gift ever was given to Donnie’s wife in 2019. She went on to say that early on, Donnie gave her one of the best Christmas presents ever by covering Evan’s college expenses.

The diverse family is quite close and loves one other. The “Band of Brothers” actor could easily relate to Evan because he had two sons of his own. On the other side, Jenny gets along well with Donnie’s children from a previous marriage.

Although they have been married for a while, they do not share any biological children. In 2017, they asserted that they decided to unwind and relish their senior years.
Now that Evan is an adult, his father has returned to his life. Asher acknowledges that he handled his son’s condition poorly and that he needed to improve as a father.
He and his son now enjoy a beautiful relationship. He even produced “A Boy Called Po,” a movie based on his son that he warmly urges everyone to see.
He once said that he didn’t make the movie to make money. He made the movie primarily to educate people. In essence, he wants people to see it, regardless of their opinion. He simply wants everyone to see it.
Although Asher is still single, he has become quite attached to his child. They get along so well together.
