Despite Carlson’s claims that Sicknick was not murdered outside, Manger emphasized that the Capitol Police maintained that had Officer Sicknick not fought valiantly for hours on January 6th, he would not have died the following day. In his memo, Manger also praised the efforts of the Capitol Police force, thanking them for fighting valiantly and risking their lives to protect the Constitution and everything that the country stands for.
