During an interview with Tucker Carlson on his podcast, Catherine Austin Fitts, the former assistant secretary of housing and urban development, disclosed details that resemble elements from a science fiction novel set in a dystopian future. Fitts disclosed that while serving in the George H.W. Bush administration (1989-1990), she conducted an investigation into a staggering \$21 trillion in unaccounted spending within the departments of defense and housing and urban development. 

Her curiosity was piqued by a 2017 report from economist Mark Skidmore at Michigan State University (MSU), which highlighted significant disparities in military expenditure. 

According to the msu report, the army had \$6.5 trillion in unsupported adjustments or unapproved expenditures in fiscal year 2015. With a budget of \$122 billion, the army made unsupported adjustments that were 54 times larger than the amount of money that congress had approved. Usually, only a tiny portion of public spending is impacted by these inconsistencies.

Fitts, a former investment banker, collaborated with skidmore to investigate the disappearance of funds over a span of two years.

She claims that the funds have been misappropriated for illegal ventures, such as the development of extensive underground complexes—largely subterranean cities—equipped with advanced technology and infrastructure capable of withstanding a worldwide catastrophe.

‘I have thoroughly examined the infrastructure of these underground bases, including the city layouts and transportation networks,’ she stated 

Carlson expressed surprise, saying, ‘I apologize,’ showing his astonishment at the unexpected information. 

Fitts continued, ‘we have constructed an extensive network of underground bases and, allegedly, transportation systems.’ some are officially recognized as part of national security infrastructure, but she believes there are many more hidden both in the United States and globally. 

She further claimed that these hidden cities or ‘bases’ are also located beneath the ocean surrounding the United States, adding to the shock.

According to Fitts, there are around 170 facilities connected by transportation networks.

While the spokesperson for the bunkers claims that they utilize ‘breakthrough energy’ technology, the specific amenities and resources available within this underground network are still unknown.
