It’s official! Beloved “Selling Sunset” star Chrishell Stause and Australian musician G Flip have taken the plunge and tied the knot, PEOPLE has confirmed.
During a May 2022 reunion episode of the Netflix series, the Selling Sunset actress romanced the Australian singer in public.
G Flip and Chrishell Stause are married.
The Australian musician and the Selling Sunset star were married, according to PEOPLE.
Stause, 41, shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday that included clips of her and G Flip having fun.
In the reel’s title, Stause wrote, “Love doesn’t always go as planned—Sometimes it’s immeasurably better.” The reel ended with a photo of the couple.
The reel features the music of “Be Your Man,” a brand new song by G Flip about Chrishell.
Nothing has ever felt more real to them, a source told PEOPLE, “but they found love together in an unexpected place.”
When Stause was still dating her Selling Sunset co-star Jason Oppenheim and G Flip were also in a relationship, the duo originally got together on Halloween 2021.
On the PEOPLE Everyday podcast, the Australian musician discussed what happened after they first met the actress.
“We were both dating our ex-partners at the time. After that we obviously broke up with our partners and just started talking,” they said.
“Although most people would assume we’re from different parts of the world, we’ve recently discovered a lot of commonalities. Sometimes we find out how similar we are.”
Five months after splitting with Oppenheim, Stause announced her new relationship with G Flip in May 2022 at the Selling Sunset reunion show.
The person I just spent a lot of time with is very important to me. They’re going for the G Flip. They go by them/them because they’re non-binary, she claimed in the episode. In addition, they are skilled musicians.
“It started because I was just about to be in their video,” she explained. And it applies to this tumultuous love story. I enjoy performing and I am a soap opera fan. And I don’t always get to do that because of the work we have. Naturally, at first, I said, “Yes, let’s do it.”
Stause was referencing G Flip’s sultry music video for “GET ME OUTTA HERE.” The couple can be seen getting hot in the convenience store throughout the video, sharing a passionate kiss hard.
“I had star Chrishell with me and it was a wonderful shoot with an amazing crew. And I’m happy to report that 80% of the crew working on the music video is gay, according to G Flip.”
The pair talked about their first kiss and how Stause “definitely thought she was still straight” in an interview with Vogue Australia in February 2023. The memorable event took place in February 2022 during a gathering at Stause’s home in Los Angeles. G Flip recalls that night: “Chrishell got up and then we kissed.”
The Selling Sunset star admitted that while she “still thought [she] was right at that party,” she couldn’t ignore her intense attraction to G Flip at the time. Her attitude towards dating began to change.
She told the website that it “opened my brain to the fact that I’m attracted to energy, not any physical thing that people have in their head.” I don’t have any particular kind.
Since becoming famous, the couple has been touring the world, with G Flip trying to spend as much time as possible on the West Coast and Stause visiting Australia a few times.
In May 2022, the two traveled to Sydney, having celebrated Christmas with friends and relatives in Australia the previous year. Additionally, they’ve been spotted together at several high-profile occasions, including the GLAAD Media Awards in March, where G Flip poked fun at their girlfriend’s win for Gay Realtor of the Year.
The sixth season of Selling Sunset will feature G Flip and their partner and will premiere May 19 on Netflix.
Speaking to Vogue about appearing on the show, they claimed, “We could have kept everything quiet…” Stause added, “But then – then they win,” to finish his point. They remove your voice and silence you.
Stause said: “Obviously we got encouraging news, but there was an incredible amount of trolling.” “Every day I see like three great comments followed by hundreds of comments about emoticon vomiting and mid-life crises. When it first came into Go’s life, it seemed extremely serious, like something had gone wrong.”
Chrishell confronts critics in the Selling Sunset trailer video. “I know people think I’m having a mid-life crisis, but I’m waking up,” I said.
