Father Speaks Out in Defense of Kissing His 5-Year-Old Son on the Lips Amidst Criticism from Online Trolls

In a world where social norms and personal boundaries often intersect, showing affection towards one’s own child can become the subject of intense scrutiny.

A British father from Yorkshire has taken to social media to defend his decision to offer Roman, his five-year-old son, attention in response to online haters.

Doting dad Tom, also known online as @tom_leeds, recently posted a touching video of himself kissing his baby on the lips, inadvertently sparking a wave of criticism.

Roman and Tom enjoy a father-son moment in the film, which was originally created to draw attention to how similar their eyes are in color.

Commentators criticized this behavior, arguing that it would confuse the infant and make him “more susceptible to spoilage”. Don’t kiss him on the lips, warned a disgruntled commenter: “Simply gorgeous both.”

Tom immediately replied, “I will continue to kiss my son on the lips,” unfazed by the unexpected criticism. I’m grateful.

He stood up and played a second video in which he reiterated his stance, saying: “I find it disturbing that you are involved. Because he is my best friend and I adore him very much, I will kiss my five-year-old son.” on my lips for as long as I see fit and as long as they let me. One day, however, he won’t want and probably won’t want much to do with me. I will continue as I am currently.

Tom was overwhelmingly supported in the comments, although there were a few other issues as well.

One strange defense was that kissing his son would spread bacteria and increase the risk of cavities. Don’t be stupid, Roman himself said in a video response and joined the conversation.

More than 15,700 people have seen Tom’s latest video, in which he speaks out in further criticism of such displays of devotion.

Do you understand what I mean when I say that not all people have the best intentions? Do not kiss your children on the lips. Don’t make it acceptable!”

Tom jokingly said, “So let’s use this reasoning. He can jump into someone else’s car and believe it’s normal, so I can’t take him anywhere in my car anymore. He’s not allowed in my house anymore because, well, he can just walk into a stranger’s house and assume it’s normal. Or we can explain to him that while kissing his parents is fine, kissing Shadow Barry on the street is weird.

Despite this problem, many people supported the father and urged him to continue to express his love for his child.

One fan said: “If anyone sees anything other than a father kissing his son, then it’s them we have to watch out for.” “If someone thinks it’s wrong to kiss their child, then they have issues that need to be questioned,” said another. No one will stop me from kissing my child.

Another person who agreed said: “Your bond with your boy is natural, you’re doing a great job.”

Commenters expressed their anger at the circumstances, with one asking: “What is wrong with people? He has a son! One day his father’s love will help him become a kinder and more caring child or man!”

Tom’s post sparked discussion among parents, with many sharing their own stories of parental love. “I will still grab my three boys’ cheeks and give them big kisses. One father said: “I adore my children.

“My daughter is 11 and she kisses me on the lips,” said another. She would assume she had done something wrong if I turned my head. “Oh, those people should run!” there was one note that jumped out.

The controversy surrounding Tom’s sincere display of love for his son sheds light on different perspectives on parental affection and serves as a reminder that the decisions parents make should be respected. Each family has its own unique way of showing love and care, and it is important to foster an environment that allows for open dialogue and understanding.

  1. The people that see this as being wrong probably don’t have kids and if they do have kids they probably had little to no discipline proper love and tenderness . It’s none of your business anyway.
