Long-term partner John Reis confirmed the death of Froberg.
At 55 years old, Hot Snakes, Drive Like Jehu, and Obits’ performer and guitarist Rick Froberg died.
In a post on Instagram, John Reis, Froberg’s long-term bandmate in Hot Snakes and Drive Like Jehu reported his passing. “Rick kicked the bucket startlingly from regular causes Friday night, June 30, at around 11 p.m. He worked on his existence with his craft. He adored his pals significantly more than he cherished music and human expression. He will continuously be perceived for his creative mind, premonition, and for his ability to mix the world with excellence. Good tidings, Rick. Until the end of my life, I will miss you.”
In the last part of the 1980s, Froberg and Reis framed the post-bad-to-the-bone band Pitchfork. From that point onward, they began the emotional musical crew Drives Like Jehu, and in 1994, Interscope Records appropriated Yank Wrongdoing, their significant mark debut.
Drive Like Jehu was immediately required to be postponed by Reis in the 1990s so he could zero in on his other band, Rocket from the Grave. Constantly nearby, Reis had laid out his own record organization, Master Records, and had reconnected with Froberg to frame the post-no-nonsense gathering Hot Snakes.
Self-destruction Brutality and Review in Progress are two of the three collections that Hot Snakes delivered somewhere in the range of 2000 and 2004. After a break, the triplet returned together in 2018 to record their fourth collection, Jericho Alarms.
Froberg established the band Obits in 2006. Three collections were delivered by them somewhere in the range of 2009 and 2013.
Drive Like Jehu was restored by Froberg and Reis in 2014 for a progression of live exhibitions, remembering one at Coachella in 2015.
As a skilled visual craftsman, Froberg likewise delivered fine art for his groups, Rocket from the Grave, and Master Records.
