GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM EXITS PLAYOFF GAME, REFUSES TO PLAY WITH BIOGRAPHICAL MALE

The Mid Vermont school’s girls’ basketball team was pulled from the Vermont Division IV state tournament after refusing to play with a transgender student player Vicki Fogg, the school’s principal, said if you play with the man who gave birth to it jeopardizes the fairness of the game and the safety of their players.

Vermont law allows transgender students to play on girls’ sports teams, and the Vermont Principals Association supports best practices through their inclusive advocacy The school has previously issued a memo stating that it has the right not to follow all Vermont anti-discrimination laws.

The Vermont Student Student Association doesn’t seem to want the best for its biological female students, putting the needs of the biological male ahead of real women. It takes a lot for a school to play in the playoffs, but it takes a lot to get out of the game and keep the real women safe and in the integrity of their sport, because born men shouldn’t enter women’s games of Tuesday night at No 5 Long Trail was scheduled to play the first game, but the withdrawal cost the Mountain Lions the game.

MVCS principal Vicki Fogg wrote in an email to the Valley News Wednesday evening: “We believe that playing against a biological opponent threatens the fairness of the game and the safety of our players.” Fogg was unavailable for comment, according to Vnews, but he didn’t need to. The women players and the team stood up for what was right and that was an important part of the story.

  1. The girls made a point but shouldn’t have to play with male bodies on a girls league. Girls should get the win – not the loss.

  2. Congratulations ladies you made the right decision along with your Principle. In my book you’re the biggest winners. I believe all women should walk off the field, court, or track until this liberal nonsense stops. You fought for Title 9 now fight for this. It may take some time but it’s a noble cause.

  3. Vermont leaders march to a different sounding drum beat. This male playing ball with girls without balls, sounds unfair to me. Kudos to the principal for having principles. The females who lost their forfeited game deserve a trophy for their decision. Vermont seems determined to become a symbol of weirdness in their effort to sound fair for the minority.

  4. Biographical males should not be allowed to play on a team period. If this child want to play basketball then he/she can play on a co-ed team. The safety of these young women should not be jeopardize. What about the rights of the females?

  5. This is a serious issue that needs to be addressed by our society as a whole. We have a tendency to support the rights of those who identify themselves as oppressed minorities, at the expense of trampling on the rights of normal people. When we cave in to these demands, we are enabling those on the fringes of society to become more and more unbalanced. We, as a Nation, will not survive these abberrations.
BTW, the headline for this articles needs to be corrected. I do not think the player in question is a biographical male.

    1. Next, there will be someone that says they have a disability to compete in something against people that have true disabilities.

  6. Good for them a male should not be competing against them. It is call a girls Basketball league and those in charge of this league should have there heads examined. Girls, Women’s Means what it means and male is not either a women or girl. Transgender does not belong in our schools competing against there opposite sex. WTF is wrong with these people that think it is ok for kids to even be thinking about transgender never mind acting it out in our school system. I don’t pay my tens of
Thousand’s of dollars a year in taxes to education to have this garbage going on.
